Pierce painted backgrounds are ideal for most portrait and commercial applications. We use a high tech synthetic mural canvas that has only a 2-4% stretch rate (all cotton canvas can stretch up to 20%). This improves the durability of our backgrounds signifigantly. Our canvas is double primed with a titanium based artists gesso, and then painted with high quality 100% acrylic paints, to insure years of trouble free use.

Canvas backgrounds up to 8 feet wide come standard mounted on wood slats at the top, and a wood dowel at the bottom. They are drilled with 1/2 inch holes for hanging, and feature velcro closures to keep them rolled up when not in use. Backgrounds wider than 8 feet come standard with a dowel at the bottom only. We reccomend hanging backgrounds this size from some type of permanent support device (like a roller system).

Our backgrounds are all painted in our Minneapolis, MN facility. Our standard custom background production time is two weeks, but we can usually paint your background even faster if it is necessary. Be sure to inform your Pierce representative if you are placing a rush order.
